"Squeals on Wheels" 2024Our Halloween Costume Reveal party for 2024 was a huge hit, thanks to all of our fans. 11 costumes revealed at the event, live on stage!

2024 Superhero SidekicksWe assembled a team of Superhero Sidekicks to help us meet our fundraising goals leading up to our Squeals on Wheels Event in Kansas City. Each Sidekick worked to raise $2,000 we could use to build costumes in 2025.

2023: The Year in Review2023 was a wild, but extremely fun and exciting year for Walkin’ & Rollin’ Costumes. What started out as a year like many before, escalated quickly to become one of massive growth for our little non-profit.

C2E2 2022 - This is the WayWe had a great time debuting our newest Mandalorian costume, the Naboo Starfighter. It was also great to reconnect with many people we hadn't seen since the pandemic hit. Take a look at the many photos from this Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo.

Ranch Mart Carnival Event 2022Ranch Mart was having a Grand Opening and asked Walkin' & Rollin' Costumes to be the guests of honor as a fundraiser. There were carnival games, bounce house obstacle courses, cosplayers for meet-and-greet, train rides and so much more.

Planet Comicon 2022Our 7th year at Planet Comicon, and it was another fantastic time. We revealed another amazing wheelchair costume, live on-stage. It was so fun to see everyone again and we can't wait for next year!

ICT Comicon 2022 - Wichita, KansasOur first time to this Wichita, Kansas Comicon was a great experience. We won the Kids Costume Contest with the Mandalorian Razor Crest Wheelchair Costume, and we debuted our newest chapter to Walkin' & Rollin' Costumes.

Planet Comicon 2021It was great to come back to Planet Comicon after an 18 month hiatus. For our first comicon since the pandemic started, we came out swinging. Planet Comicon was kind enough to offer a $1,000 matching donation to anything we raised during the 3-day event, and we are happy to say that we exceeded that amount. Thank you Planet Comicon for helping us reach an all-time high in donations for a single convention.

Trunk or Treat 2021Our first live-hosted event, post-covid, was our first Trunk or Treat event. We partnered with Geeks for Kids to put on the event and they even built two amazing costumes that were revealed at the event. It was a great success and so happy to host another event again.

Walkin' & Rollin' & Runnin' Virtual 5K/10KThe community joined us to help make our first Walkin' & Rollin' & Runnin' Virtual 5K/10K a success! People could join from anywhere in the world to participate in the event and could do it at their own pace. Walk, Roll, Run, Swim, Bike or even play Wheelchair Rugby to help participate and raise money for Walkin' & Rollin' Costumes.

Walkin' & Rollin' Costumes Virtual Party 2020For 10 nights in a row, we hosted a Virtual Party for all of our fans and kids getting costumes for the 2020 Halloween season. We couldn't host the typical party we do each year, but we still tried to make it entertaining for everyone that watched. Each episode focused on a different topic with Walkin' & Rollin' Costumes and there were multiple wheelchair costume reveals over the corse of the 10 episodes.

Walkin' & Rollin' Twisted Halloween Party! Vol. 3A recap of everything that happened at the 2019 "Walkin' & Rollin' Twisted Halloween Party! Vol. 3" Our annual fundraiser and costume reveal party is a free event for anyone who would like to attend. We revealed 12 wheelchair costumes to 12 kids.

2019 Annual Pre-Halloween WorkshopThis year, we returned to Hammerspace Workshop in Kansas City, Missouri to host our annual pre-Halloween workshop. Thank you so much to Dave Dalton and everyone else at Hammerspace for making us feel so welcome. We worked on 7 different wheelchair costumes at the event, with about 30 volunteers that showed up to lend a hand.

Midwest Ability Summit 2019The Midwest Ability Summit was held in Overland Park, Kansas and we were able to sign up multiple kids who needed wheelchair costumes for Halloween.

Maker Faire KCMaker Faire KC was held within Union Station. There were so many things for people to do and build. Since it was opening weekend for "Toy Story 4," we decided to have at our table a place to build your very own Forky!

NOMCON 2019The Nation of Makers NOMCON was a meeting of makers from all over the nation. It was in Chattanooga, Tennessee for 2019. This was the first time Walkin' & Rollin' Costumes attended the conference.

Big Slick 10For the forth year, we have made it to Big Slick in Kansas City to help them raise money for the cancer floor at Children's Mercy Hospital. This was their tenth year to bring all the celebrities in to town to help out. You can find out more about Big Slick at BigSlickKC.org.

Planet Comicon 2019The 20th anniversary of Planet Comicon was our 5th time attending. With the help of Blue Valley CAPS students, we gave away a Transformers Bumblebee wheelchair costume, and a Sesame Street wheelchair costume.

C2E2 - 2019Our first trip to Chicago for the 10th annual C2E2 in March 2019. It was a fantastic trip where we gave away the Hogwarts Express Harry Potter themed wheelchair costume. See all the photos and stories.

Delaney's Monster Truck REVEAL!Delaney was surprised when her mom secretly helped organize this costume for her. She thought she was at the monster truck event to help give a wheelchair costume away to another child. Little did she know that SHE was actually the one getting the costume.

Colson's Ghostbusters Ecto-1 REVEAL!3-year-old Colson received his Ecto-1 Ghostbusters costume live on-stage at Planet Comicon in Kansas City, Missouri. He was escorted around the comicon by a number of Ghostbusters helping Colson "bust some ghosts." Who ya' gonna' call?

Davey's Tie Interdictor REVEAL!Olathe Northwest High School's "Engineering a Better Tomorrow" group of talented students built this costume for 8-year-old Davey. This was their first wheelchair costume, and they knocked it out of the park.
