Planet Comicon 2024
Our ninth year at Planet Comicon was a great experience. We had the most number of costumes on display in our booth that we have ever had at a convention, 6 wheelchair costumes! While Reese and Callen drove the TRON Lightcycles, we also had on display the Ant-Man Quantumania costume from last year, and a brand new Ant-Man costume with moving legs. Some of you may remember another wheelchair costume like this back in 2016. This is Reese's final year here at Planet Comicon before he goes off to college and he wanted to revisit his favorite wheelchair costume he ever built, but make it better. So we had a brand new Ant-ony the Ant, with Reese riding on top of him. We also had a couple of new guests with us this year. Chris and his son Coen were helping with our booth. Chris built a walking AT-ST for Coen and brought it to show everyone in our booth. He also took Coen in the costume to meet Ian McDiarmid, the Emperor himself.
Last, but most definitely not least, 10-year-old Mason received his faster than fast wheelchair costume, "Lightning McQueen" LIVE on stage! It was a huge success built by our local Experienced Build Team of Jason Farrimond, Catherine Farrimond, Jake Sharp, Reese and Lon, and sponsored by B&B Theatres. Everyone thought he looked awesome. We hope he enjoys it this Halloween and any other time that he just wants to go fast. Congratulations, Mason!
A very special thank you to Angela Saus, who cosplayed as Alastor, from "Hazbin Hotel," for making special bargins with people to come into our booth and helping us raise some money to build more costumes like these for kids all over the nation. It's always an honor to have you help out, Angela.
