Planet Comicon 2023
Our eighth year at Planet Comicon was a great experience. We had the most number of costumes on display in our booth that we have ever had at a convention, 5 wheelchair costumes! While Callen drove the Mandalorian Razor Crest Costume from the Star Wars series, "The Mandalorian," Reese brought his own Mandalorian ship, the Naboo Starfighter. Reese also had his brand new, "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" costume that even won the award for the "Sickest Cosplay at Planet Comicon!" Way to go, Reese! We even had on display, a costume made by GBA back in 2019, the "KC Chiefs Arrowhead Stadium," that was donated back to us after John had outgrown it. He was happy to donate it back after the Chiefs big win at Superbowl 57!
Last, but most definitely not least, 3-year-old Haylee received her enchanted "Cinderella Carriage," LIVE on stage! It was a huge success built by our local expert build team of Dave Wootan, Angela Saus, Jake Sharp, Reese and Lon, and sponsored by B&B Theatres. Everyone thought she looked like a princess. We hope she enjoys it this Halloween and any other time that she just wants to dress up. Congratulations, Haylee!
A very special thank you to @WillFerrellImpersonator, Ricky Bobby, for stopping by our booth on Saturday and helping us raise some money to build more costumes like these for kids all over the nation. It's always an honor to see you and have you help out.
