Nation of Makers NOMCON 2019
The Nation of Makers NOMCON was a meeting of makers from all over the nation. It was in Chattanooga, Tennessee for 2019. This was the first time Walkin' & Rollin' Costumes attended the conference. We were asked to give one of the IGNITE speeches where we explained the importance of building these costumes for kids in wheelchairs. It was an emotional speech that moved everyone in the room to tears.
We also submitted a video for Walkin' & Rollin' Costumes to be considered for the "Nation of Makers Community Choice" award. With the support of everyone who voted for us online, we won the award!

We met so many makers and a few of them wanted to build costumes for kids in their own maker spaces. I can't wait to get all the new teams up and running for Halloween 2019.
